Award-winning filmmakers Imagine Documentaries and Edgeline Films have teamed up with Jonathan Haidt and The Anxious Generation Movement to make a documentary about what it’s actually like to grow up with phones and social media.
And we want Gen Z to tell that story.

If you’ve had a particularly difficult or harmful experience with social media and the internet, this is an opportunity to share that story – and what you learned from it.
Stories of Challenge and Growth Application
Please tell us a little bit about the challenge or harmful experiences you have faced online – and what you have learned from them. We know these stories can be painful to reflect on and appreciate your willingness to share.
No one under the age of 16 may participate. If you are between the ages of 16 and the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction of residence, you may only upload videos under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to your participation. If we select you to participate in the project, additional parental consents may be required.
